Cheater tie dye and haul

Lets give this another go... :)
I've been shopping up a storm the last couple of days (honestly, I need to slow my roll haha) and finding all kinds of really awesome finds. My original plan was to buy white things, because I cheater tie dyed a pair of white denim shorts the other day and I love how they came out.
(That's my cat Esme modeling, needing to be all up in anything and everything all the time). So basically I want to tie dye my life now...but while I was out I found a ton of other things that have nothing to do with what I was looking for. I got a super cute dress for $8 at Target along with 3 new nail polishes, a bunch of rings at a beautymart I frequent, and some sunglasses and blinged out tees at Rue 21. I did get two things for tie dying, a tank and a sweater with buttons on the sleeves from Old Navy. The tank I want to dye and paint a design on, and the sweater I'm going to try, but I'm not sure if it will be able to take the heat you need to set in the dye, because it says to air dry flat. But it was around $3 on clearance so I'm still going to give it a go, and if it falls apart...it falls apart haha.  Full haul:

I got the cheater tie dye kit at Hobby Lobby for around 7 dollars, its called Tumbledye and its in small spray bottles. I did it with a friend so I actually had two sets, one in "girly" colors and the other in "neon". Her shorts looked a little cooler because they were cutoffs, so I'm thinking about distressing mine. More tie dye updates in the future!
Oh, and I know pictures of clothes lying flat like that are terrible and boring, hopefully I can get myself together enough to start ootd posting. :)

Insomnailia

My sleep schedule is seriously broken, I think. But I just looked out my window and I see some of my fellow apartment neighbors are still awake as well...CREEPER TIME!! Ha. I feel weird, like I shouldn't have seen them...but their window is open, so...yeah. Anyway, I'm still quite awake, and instead of using this time to work on school work that really really needs to be done, like...yesterday, I decided to paint my nails! Haven't had the time to do them in over a week, which is so not like me...but since I'm awake and ready to party (or...paint nails?) at 3 am that is what I did. The lilacy purple is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails No Hard Feelings, and the pink is the same brand called Love Rocks. The black is a cheapie no brand I applied with a toothpick, and the silver is LA Colors Art Deco Silver Glitter, which is a skinny brush. I wish I never needed to sleep, I would have so much time for activities!! So, I'm just going to give these another 10 minutes to make sure they're really dry and not just giving me a false sense of dryness...so I don't wake up with sheet marks marring my hour of work at this horrible hour, and then I'm going to force myself to go to sleep. I am not a vampire, I should be sleeping at night, not during the daytime hours. Plus I really want to go shopping tomorrow before I go out to Relay for Life...because I need more clothes, of course. The tons I have are not nearly sufficient. They might be, if I ever did laundry...I'm going to do that tomorrow too. I always have such big plans for the next day and then stay up way too late and get half of my list accomplished at the most. I wonder if other people are night owl procrastinators also? I think yes...and its all the fault of the internet, and Netflix. By the way, I heard Dawson's Creek is coming to Netflix very soon, and I certainly hope that is true because I really want to rewatch that series. But first I must finish Ally McBeal. Ok, really going to bed now. I bet it really misses me.

Curly hair, don't care

Okayyyy, so I love the Goody Wave Creator! It worked really well for me...I did have a few curls come out wonky, that I had to work a little to fix, but that also happens to me with my straightener (that's what I usually use to curl my hair). It actually happens a lot more frequently with the straightener...so it ended up taking less time overall and I really liked how it turned out. I even had a girl at work tell me my hair was cool...and 15 year old girls really know what cool is right?? I think that Grav3yardgirl (who is so hilarious, I've started watching all her videos) has a different type of hair than I do, so maybe that's why it worked better for me? I don't know. I have really fine hair, but a ton of it...it's pretty easy to style and usually holds a curl well. All I know is, it's one of the best presents I've bought myself in a while.

So I had a good start to the day with my hair working and all, and then right before I leave for work at 1:00 I realize I've misplaced my wallet...couldn't find it before I had to leave but I was 99.998% sure it was somewhere in my house, so I wasn't too too worried about it.  I did have to borrow lunch money today, which wasn't terrible, because all my co-workers are AWESOME and never mind stuff like that. So I got home around 9:40ish and resumed the hunt...finally found it, right when I was about to have a panic attack and finally admit to myself that I LOST it lost it. Where? Underneath the couch, waaaaay at the back. I'm just happy I found it! I had a whole purse stolen last summer, and it was such a headache to fix! I live about 5 hours away from my hometown Htown, and the credit union I bank with does not exist here, so I had to convince them to let my mom get my new debit card and mail it to me. I also had to borrow a phone to call my credit cards and let them know, because of course my phone was in there too. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. It was the first time I'd ever had anything truly stolen from me, and it was a really bad feeling. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I made it to 21 before something like that happened, but really all I did was cry to my mom over the payphone. Its funnier now than it was then, but still not that funny. So....in conclusion, a day that starts well and ends well is a good day in my book, despite the in-between parts. Hopefully tomorrow is splendiferous from start to finish though...going to do a little early morning shopping and then representin Relay for Life for my company, yeayah! As for tonight, going to work on one or more of the many papers and projects I have due at the end of this glorious semester. Here's to senioritis!!!

Ignoring directions, yeah!

First blog post...ooooweee. So, today was a terrible no good day for the most part. I had a huge project due for a marketing research class today at 11, and to get that done I pulled a no sleep til Brooklyn all nighter to finish it, and study for a test I had this morning. So to be able do that, I took a 5 hour energy and drank a  whole buncha coffee. And I totally know you're not supposed to do that, but I was under an extremely tough deadline here. So basically, I had the shakes all day and felt like I was going to a)pass out b)throw up or c)some terrible, pathetic combination of the two. Again, I know you're not supposed to do that. I vow not to endanger my health any further this semester....unless I really REALLY need to. Ha. I'm trying to graduate in August so I really shouldn't make any ridic promises. But it ended up I was awake from 7:30 on Wednesday morning until around 1:00pm today (yesterday? Thursday in any case), when I finally broke down and took a four hour nap, which is why Im awake right now!!

So anyway, earlier I was watching some YouTube videos and I saw this super duper amazingly cool looking curling iron type hair thingy, and I really liked the looks of it (even though the person using it was not so impressed) so I decided to head on down to Walmart at 12:00 at night to go get myself one to make myself feel better about this nonsensical, stressful day I had. So, tomorrow I'm going to try out my new Wave Creator styling iron and see how it works out...hopefully I like it better than she did. This right here was the vid I saw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jPIEa_S330&feature=relmfu . ONLY TIME WILL TELL. And Im going to go to sleep now, because I'm pretty sure I've been delirious and crazy all day long. Goooooodnight! :)
